ELEVEN WAYS TO HELP THE PASTOR HELP OUR CHURCH
1. Let the Pastor know your spiritual needs. When sickness or death strikes, the Pastor may not hear of it until it's too late, unless some thoughtful person lets him know.
2. Attend all services consistently. This will encourage the Pastor greatly in the work. Full pews challenges the Pastor to prepare and deliver great sermons. Empty pews can discourage the Pastor.
3. Carry your share of the Church load. The Pastor who has to push everything soon becomes weary. Take some initiative yourself in performing your duties in the Church.
4. Inform the Pastor of new people in town or on your block. The Pastor wants to visit new people, but unless you keep him posted about newcomers, he may miss them.
5. Share in visitation. Your Pastor can not make all the calls that need to be made.
6. Be a friend to the Pastor. Your Pastor is also human. Your friendship will be a big encouragement to this Pastor in the Lord's work.
7. Build the Pastor's spiritual power by praying for him. When you pray for the Pastor, you pray for our Church, our community and your family.
8. Build the Pastor's reputation by speaking well of him. Your Pastor is human; he has weak and strong points. His influence will depend on which of them you stress.
9. Build the Pastor's morale by encouraging him. Your Pastor needs to be encouraged at times. Encouragement cost so little, yet it means so much!
10. Build the Pastor's leadership by cooperating with him. For every great leader, there must be some great followers.
11. By far the Greatest thing you can do for the Pastor is to follow Christ whom he preaches and exemplifies.

A GUIDE TO GOOD LIVING
Learn to laugh; laughter is better than medicine.
Learn to mind your own business; few men can handle their own.
Learn to tell a story; a well told story is like a sunbeam in a sickroom.
Learn to say kind things; nobody ever resents them.
Learn to stop grumbling; if you can't see any good in the world, keep the bad to yourself.
Learn to love other people; this is a doorway to the kingdom.
Learn to place yourself in the other person's position before condemning; it might change
your whole outlook.
Learn the great lessons of the Bible; no greater lessons can be learned.
