NEW YEAR PROMISE

This year why not make some promises rather than resolutions for the
New Year?

1.
Promise to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
2. Promise to make all your friends feel that there is something special about them.
3.
Promise to look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
4. Promise to think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to make the best come true.
5. Promise to be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
6. Promise to forget the mistakes of the past and press on together achievements in the future.
7. Promise to wear a cheerful expression at all times and to give every person you meet a smile.
8. Promise to give so much effort to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
9. Promise to be too big for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble in your life.

PRAY FOR OUR REVIVAL

The most important way each of us can prepare for the coming revival is
to pray.  Through prayer God speaks to us, showing us our spiritual needs
and leading us into a right relationship with Him.

God then fills our hearts with concern for the spiritual welfare of others
and leads us to share Christ with them.  Let us then give ourselves to
prayer privately and in groups, as the Spirit leads.  The more we pray in
sincerity and truth, the more God will revive spiritually our Church and
community.
