HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN WITNESS

If you really want to become a witness for Christ, here are some things you can do:
  1. Pray for personal victory in the Christian life.  If you are defeated personally, you can never become a dynamic witness for Christ.
  2. Pray for lost people in particular.  There may be some among your loved ones.  There most surely are some among your friends and acquaintances.  Pray for them by name.  Put them on a prayer list and keep them on your mind and heart.
  3. Pray for divine direction.  Pray that God will lead you to someone who needs Christ and that He will help you say just the right word.  The Holy Spirit can guide you in both areas.
  4. Pray for the pastor and the church services every time the church meets.  While the pastor is preaching, pray for him.  If possible, be in the worship services yourself and render a silent witness.

SOME SHOCKING STATISTICS

Here are some statistics that emphasize the urgency of witnessing for Christ today:
  1. There are 138,000 more lost people in the world this morning than there were yesterday morning.
  2. When you arrive at your Sunday school class next Sunday, there will be about 1,000,000 more lost people in the world than when you arrived last Sunday.
  3. Each year ends with about 50,000,000 more lost people in the world than when the year began.
  4. About 146,000 people will die around the world within the next twenty-four hours.  Most of them will not know Christ as Savior and Lord.
  5. A line composed of all the lost people in the world would circle the earth thirty times.  This line will grow at rate of twenty miles per day.
